The Hawaiian baby woodrose (Argyreia nervosa) is a member of the convolvulaceae family which also includes the morning glory. They contain a naturally occurring tryptamine called LSA (Lysergic Acid Amide), which is closely related to LSD. The seeds are consumed orally, either direct or after extraction of the active alkaloids.
Seeds of the Argyreia nervosa may have once been used in sacramental rituals in the Pacific Islands, where they were used by high priests. Reportedly, they would ingest 5-10 seeds to speak with the spirit world. The beautiful plant that comes from these seeds is the truly magnificent thing about Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seeds. Properly cultivated this plant would make a great addition to any garden.
